We had a little excitement last Tuesday (July 6th) but in the end we were disappointed. I had a Dr. visit that morning, and I was having contractions all day long, 10 minutes apart, then 5 minutes for a couple of hours, then down to 3 minutes for a couple of hours. I decided to go into the hospital so I wouldn't have another episode like Tyler's (my water broke in bed and I had to rush to the hospital - the doctor wasn't ready for me when I was ready to start pushing). Anyway, while I was at the hospital I was dialated to 3 and my contractions were consistently 4 minutes apart, lasting 70 seconds each. I was not effaced at all, and I was two days before 37 weeks, so they gave me a pill to relax my muscles and told me to go home and rest and drink lots of water. It's probably a good thing, because they didn't have any beds for me anyway. They have a small maternity unit at that hospital (Winter Park), and the nurse said they were just slammed on the 4th of July weekend (maybe from the full moon last Friday). Inductions also get scheduled early in the week, so they were completely full!! All I can say is, they better have room for me when the time comes!
Since then I've just been having a handfull of random contractions every day like before. I feel like I'm ready to pop (and I look like it too)!
