She's Walking!!!!!

On Thursday, October 20th, 2005, Sarah started walking several steps without holding on to anything or anyone. It was just before dinner, and she was fussing for Daddy to pick her up. He told her to come over to him, so she did! Of course we all clapped and cheered and got out the cameras. After that she wanted to keep practicing. She kept walking around the living room, falling, getting back up and walking some more. After a few minutes she got brave and started walking into other rooms by herself. She got mad when we tried to pick her up and put her in her high chair for dinner. She has a whole new adventure ahead of her now !

Taking her first steps without help. She is so proud of herself!

Strutting her stuff for Grandma Suzie and Grandpa Frank.

Bringing stuff to Mommy by walking instead of crawling.

Sarah loves to lift weights with Dad when he gets home from work.

We haven't really put many pictures of my pregnant belly on here lately, so here it is at about 28 weeks.

Sarah's cool Spikey hair-do.

Sarah likes the jingle bells.

We have some catching up to do. We've all been pretty busy, as usual, but everything is good. Here are some pictures from the last few months.

Here is Sarah in a gorgeous dress (puple and green - mom and dad's favorite colors) that Grandma Ruth sent her.

I'm sure you all heard about hurrican Katrina and how it devasted New Orleans and other surrounding towns. In September Shane went with a large group of men from church on busses to Pascagula Mississippi to help with clean-up efforts. They set up a tent city on the church grounds and spent the weekend tearing out drywall and other junk.

Our little musical baby is very much into playing the piano. If anyone is playing, she has to be up there too. She also found the drawer where I keep little percussion instruments (jingle bells, egg shaker, rhythm sticks) and she plays with them often.

Sarah loves to play the guitar with her daddy. He's been teaching her very patiently.

She's getting pretty good at strumming the strings instead of just banging on the wood.

This is one of my college friends, Jen Boyd, and her little boy, Garrett, eating himself in the mirror.

Last summer Tyler went to a one week comedy improv drama camp and LOVED it! They actually encouraged him to do all the things he gets in trouble for at school. Here are some of his buddies the night of their performance.

In July 2005 we went to Plant City to see Alyssa "Buttons" Loyd get blessed.

Brandi and Sarah on Alyssa's blessing day.

This was Tyler's way of entertaining himself while listening to conference on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Sarah loves to hang out with her dad. This was in October while we were listening to General Conference on the internet in our living room. I just love modern technology! The only problem was that I dozed off on the couch a couple of times...
