Sarah and her cousin Rebekah had a great time in the bath together today. This was the first time I let Sarah play in the tub without the bath seat, and she loved the freedom. Rebekah is blowing kisses.

I received a call from Tyler's school last week telling me he bumped heads with another boy and would probably need stitches. The other boy got a big bump on his head, but Tyler bled all over the carpet. I think the worst part was that it was in a class that had a substitute teacher!!! Boy, do I feel for her. He said she was freaking out. I picked him up and we waited a whole hour at the doctor's office, only to be told that he couldn't do the stitches there in the office! You'd think the girl at the desk could have told me that when I called and told them I was coming. Anyway, we walked across the street to the ER and only had to wait about 20 minutes. He complained, but I can tell he secretly enjoys the attention. He was excited to go to school the next day and show all his friends.

He got 5 stitches, and I watched while they put them in. It wasn't so bad. The worst part was watching Tyler squirm and try to hold still during the painful experience of having the nurse poke a needle around the cut several times to numb the area. Once he couldn't feel it anymore, it was a lot easier for me to watch him.

This month there was a court of honor at church for the Boy Scouts. Tyler earned his Second Class award that night. He has one or two more things to pass off and he will earn his First Class soon. Shane is the leader over the 11 year old group.

Tyler also had to place a pin on Shane as his Scout Leader.

Thanks man!!

That same night, Shane and his friend Josh Smith received their Woodbadge awards.

Sarah loves to torture her big brother. Can you tell we gave her a hair cut? Just a little around the ears and above the eyes.

Here we are on a Saturday at the trail that's close to our house.

Shalene and I have been going to the trail a lot in the mornings to get some exercise. I've actually started jogging 3 or 4 times a week, and it's getting easier for me the more I do it. Jogging strollers are a great invention!

Here we are all dressed up for church. Tyler got that new black suit for Christmas. The tie is from Grandma Suzie, but he helped pick it out.

Sarah turned 9 months old yesterday, and I caught her, for the first time, sleeping with her bum up in the air!

She's very good at sitting up to play without falling over. Sometimes she'll fall over on purpose to get on her tummy and reach for a toy. She doesn't crawl yet, but she can scoot backwards and around on her tummy.

Can you believe those cheeks?

We love this outfit on her. I found it on sale at Ross. Check out those crazy toes!

Sarah playing...

Sarah's Squash Face. We had this picture as the background of our desktop for a long time, so every time I walked by the computer, she was looking at me!!

Shane loves to play with kids. These are two boys from church, Tanner and Sam, that I babysat on the same day!! It was quite a busy day, but we had fun.
